Highlights from the Liverpool 5G Create Project

The DCMS-funded Liverpool 5G Create: Connecting Health and Social Care project officially came to an end on 30th September 2022, after running for two years.

The end of the project does not mean the end of Liverpool 5G – far from it. The team are exploring opportunities to maximise the impact of the network and grow the network area. The Liverpool 5G vision is to have an independent civic 5G network deployed across Liverpool which is owned and managed by the public sector, allowing all citizens to have access to affordable, reliable connectivity to enable access to public services.

However, the end of the project is a good time to review how far we’ve come. Here are some highlights from the last two years.

      • Events – As well as hosting two successful events, the Liverpool 5G Showcase Event and the Liverpool 5G Use Case Demonstration Event, the project also played a part in more than 20 nation and international events, including:
        • Small Cell World Summit
        • Giant Health Event
        • Digital Health Show
        • DTX Manchester
