Celebrating our achievements with a Showcase Event!

Liverpool 5G Health and Social Care partners spent 26th March 2019 showcasing new technologies being trialled across our Liverpool-based community health project – and supported by our 5G network.

The Liverpool 5G Health and Social Care Showcase Event took place at Sensor City’s technology hub, in the heart of Liverpool. 100 plus guests from across health, telco, technology, gaming, manufacturing, UK 5G testbeds and government innovation sectors were invited to the event and learned more about how 5G technology can transform the provision of care in the health and social care sector.

All of the consortium members were on hand to talk about their products and  findings at a series of workshops and demonstrations. A Liverpool 5G Health and Social Care film was produced throughout the day and their were networking opportunities for people looking to work in partnership in the future.

Senior members of the government’s 5G strategy team also attending the events as did key stakeholders from around the region. This was the opportunity to make a joint announcement with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS)  of an extended timescale and extra funding for Liverpool 5G Health and Social Care Testbed.
