Liverpool John Moores University

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) – one of the UK’s largest universities – has a reputation for providing high quality teaching and learning that’s informed by relevant, credible and world-leading research.

As part of the Liverpool 5G Health and Social Care Testbed, LJMU’s computing and mathematical science schools worked on the Radio Resource Management and Optimisation Trial, which aimed to improve the network’s performance and quality of service, developing an effective 5G simulation model to test the network, and designing an efficient load balance routing solution for the networks. LJMU monitored the performance of the backhaul mesh network as new nodes were added, working with CGA Simulation to integrate the simulator into their planning tool.

During the Liverpool 5G Create: Connecting Health and Social Care project the LJMU team will supply network security expertise, and will trail and online system for remote wound management.
