Both Millvina House & Brushwood Care Homes, part of the Bloomcare Group, are now connected to and live on the Liverpool 5G network.
The care homes are both located outside of the planned project footprint, however, following the success of Rowan Garth Care Village’s connection to the network, Bloomcare asked the team if it would be possible to connect the two further sites – located in Anfield and Speke respectively – and the L5G team were happy to oblige!
The sites were initially installed, then the routers installed, configured and tested, and as of May 2022, the carehomes are live on the new connection, and Bloomcare IT Manager Chris Evans is delighted with the service.
The new network connection will improve connectivity across the sites, providing fast and reliable connectivity for day-to-day services such as Wi-Fi, RADAR software and cloud-based services. The 5G connection also opens up the possibilities of using further services and devices which require more bandwidth and less latency, as the use of technology within healthcare increases, and stable, secure and speedy connectivity becomes essential.
