Dr Michael Mackay, Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University, and member of the Liverpool 5G Create project, presented the project to researchers from the Agency for Defence Development, Republic of Korea, on their recent visit to the University.

The talk included a general overview of the Liverpool 5G Create project, the use cases and technical solution, then focused on the network optimisation and security research undertaken by Dr Mackay and Dr Bo Zhou, a Reader in Network Security at the Department of Computer Science at LJMU. The group also discussed the deployment of 5G non-public networks (NPNs), and the potential security issues to be addressed.
