Liverpool 5G team share learning with West Midlands 5G consortium

As one of only six national consortia who gained funding from the government in the first phase of its 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme, Liverpool 5G already has tips to share about how to set up a successful 5G eco-system and network.

This week we welcomed a team from West Midlands 5G – a public and private sector led consortium – who were keen to learn more about the challenges we’d faced, both logistically and in getting products adopted by volunteers and care providers. We were happy to share our insights.

Whilst the West Midlands team are working in different sectors to us, the challenges associated with establishing a 5G network – and running products and equipment off it – navigating supply chains, partnership work, and engaging with stakeholders or the community, are all very similar.
