Liverpool 5G support 5G Pilots in Peru, Mozambique & Nepal

The innovative approaches adopted by Liverpool 5G, to enable devices and services in health and social care, has attracted the attention of other health professionals.

Professor of Infection Pharmacology at the University of Liverpool, Geraint Davies, has submitted a £2.75M grant application to the National Institute for Health Research on Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB). The project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an individualised MDR-TB care package in five key areas including treatment/adherence support by using novel mobile technologies and tele-health to facilitate completion of treatment and takes place in Peru, Mozambique and Nepal. The know-how from Liverpool 5G will support this key area.
